I’m not that tech savvy and I was having a hard time figuring some stuff out. I emailed support and they walked me through so easily. Super customer service! The program itself works great too. You can schedule stuff in advance, like direct deposits or recurring bills. I really like those features!

I was forced to find another checkbook type app when my upgrade to Mac OS Sierra made Quicken Essentials go dark. This app is an excellent replacement. A few things to learn, but along the way the support from Allan has been exceptionally friendly and answers are clear and detailed. The support responsiveness is better than any I’ve used for any application. Highly recommend this app.A few tweaks I’d like, but overall A+++.

I was looking for something to replace Quicken after a recent system upgrade was incompatible. This is everything I was looking for . Affordable and easy to use.

So far it has met my simple needs to keep my checking account in order. I have not yet used it to reconcile my checking account.

Upgraded Mac to Sierra-lost all financial data due to Sierra not supporting Quicken Essentials—rebooted from backup and looked online for a replacement to Quicken and Checkbook seemed the most promising from reviews. Once I figured out how to transfer accounts from Quicken to Checkbook, everything transfered flawlessly. Then learning the easy setup of accounts and entering of new information. Couldn’t be happier--Five Stars.

easy to use much le$$ than Quicken

After using Quicken for over 20 years it is gtaking me a little time to get used to it. However it works as expected. For those whe had to give up Quicken because of the new version of Safari I think you will be pleased especially for the price.

I’ve been using the Checkbook app for some time and am extremely pleased with it. It’s easy and efficient. Recently had a computer problem and lost a lot of information on several apps including Checkbook. I emailed the support team and Allan without delay emailed me back and was very helpful in dealing with me. Great customer service! I eventually discovered the problem with my computer (it was inadvertently put on Guest visitor) and retrieved all my information including Checkbook. My fault entirely. But the support team was there for me when I needed them. Highly recommend this app.

Today I received the message that the app was damaged. I searched online and found instructions from the creator of the App to delete the file (“your data will not be lost” ) they tell ya to go into the App Store and click purchase and your data will be restored. No such luck - I deleted it just like they told me too, it wouldn’t reload because it said I had a damaged file, so I emptied the Recycle bin and now everything is lost. No response from my email to customer service, the message above when followed asks for my Serial Number - heaven knows what that is. #Screwed #LostEverything #JustGotSplasmed

This is insane! All my finances down the drain and I can’t even open my backup. There should be a class action suit against this company. If they have any integrity they would fix the “damage” and reinstall our data. If not…NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS AND WILL SPEND THE REMAINDER OF MY DAYS TELLING EVERYONE. Okay, when apology is due I give it. Thank you for fixing the problem, if that is what it was, and restoring all my accounts. I wish that had been in the message rather than just a delete message.

I have been using this software since 2011, as of two days ago it would not open. reccomended delete and reinstall now it wants me to pay for it again. Sure to save 4 years of finances! Paid for it again and still nothing now I have lost all of my accounting! this is horrible! DO NOT BUY!

After years of consistent reliability, the program would not load due to the Apple certificates issue. Searched for answers to the problem and the company provided an explanation and a solution. I downloaded a new copy from the splasm site (at no charge, receiving a Splasm serial number) and then updated today to the beta version. Data is back. Love the program and love the prompt and effective solutions to the crash.

It was scary when Checkbook did not open after installing El Capitain. Thanks for the swift update and correction of problems. I rely on this app and it is running fine now.

Program crashed yesterday and was freaking out a little. Couldn’t open at all. But they rolled out an update within the next day and its working great. Thanks guys.

For those of you, like me, who use CheckBook almost daily to log your bank information, Splasm has created a fix for the Mac App Store patch. While I generally love Apple products, this doesnt surprise me that Apple blindsided application developers with a patch. Think of how many times iTunes updates for no freaking reason… ok, but I digress. This app is fantastic and thank you Splasm for creating a fix so quickly!

Thank you for the update. You had me worried there but you kept us informed in the App store. Well done!!! About the app….It’s an easy to use checkbook, been using it for years and I love it.

Until Apple screwed it up with it’s app store & El Capitan. . . .

Great tool. Just what I needed to track my banking every day.

With direct deposit, debit cards, online banking, etc… there were too many entries for a traditional paper checkbook. This app is inexpensive, works really well, looks just like a checkbook so its easy to learn and does the math for you…..
