For anyone who wants to keep track of spending in the same way you’re used to, by entering checks, debits, and deposits in a check register, this is the app for you. Good value for those of us who like to keep things simple, and don’t need fancy but seldom used extra features. Very small learning curve, and lots of flexibility for managing different kinds of bank accounts, creating them as documents to open and close. Works smoothly, saves entries automatically, and allows for editing or updating afterward. Also allows users to change or delete preprinted categories to match your own preferences.

A little more detailed than I need. Need better options for splitting transactions, but all in all a decent app for keeping track of my checking

Very difficult and confusing to reconcile as compared to Quicken. I rate it as better than nothing, maybe?

Very simple app, but stable. Can update from home or work which I find very convenient.

I have been using this app for years and have enjoyed it. It does a great ob at the simple checknbook register and is easy to reconcile with my bank statements.

Good ap, works exactly how I wanted it to. Wish I use on my ipad too. Would love to be able to record transactions on the go.

Love this APP! It does everything I want and more. I’ve had zero issues with it.

compared to Microsoft money, it is not as detailed but it allows me to check off tax deductible and run reports which I always need for the end of the year in Tax season. However, I do not like how it does my bills. If I enter a bill early or late then it changes the next date the bill is due to 30 days or 2 weeks from that day depending on what I have it set on. I preferr it not change the date but I have not choice. Only down fall in my opionion when i am trying to keep track of the bills coming due. I have to remember to go back and change it every time.

Works pretty well; not as user friendly as Quickbooks on y PC, but also no where near the cost. I only use to as a check register, so have not attempted any of the extra things it may do.

I’ve found Checkbook very useful in keeping checking accounts balanced and especially in assembling deductible expenses when preparing tax returns. The ability to prepare a report of all deductible expenses paid by check is a big time saver. It takes a little while to get used to using Checkbook, but with experience it is fairly easy to use and has a number of helpful features to make it easier to enter transactions. It’s not a perfect five stars, but much closer to five than to four. I wish I had purchased the Pro version, especially when it was on sale, since an upgraded price is not available on the App Store. It would add some useful capability that I didn’t think I would need when I first purchased it.

This is just what I was looking for to replace the expensive Quicken. It is working just as I had hoped. Great product for just a minimal fee.

Years ago I was looking for an Apple replacement for Quicken. I tried about 5 different apps and CheckBook won hands down. It is so easy to learn and use. CheckBook is flexible and personalizable. It produces good reports. The only reason I give it a four and not a five is that the accounts don’t “talk” to each other. I cannot transfer from savings to checking and have it automatically show up in the checking. But for me that is not a deal breaker. It is a good app and I would reccommend it.
