Just downloaded it today to replace my Quicken 2002, as I will be upgrading to Lion OS soon. As most Mac users know by now, "Lion Kills" and one of the many older programs it kills is Quicken. Well, was probably time to update anyway. So far I am very happy with Checkbook. It seems like a pretty good bang for the buck. Didnt want an accounting program; just something to keep track of a couple of chequing accounts and savings accounts. It seems to do the job very nicely and was very easy to understand. I havent entered any yet, but it looks as if it will track other simple investments such as GICs and TDs quite well too. Id recommend it for anyone who is looking for a simple, basic money managing system.

I have used this program fro a number of months now, and foiund it to be excellent. It is felxable, and allows me to add accounts and manage various financial items. Transfering between accounts is easy and automatic one set up. I would recommend it.

This is a very easy app to use. Had a problem shortly after downloading but Splasm’s tech support was terrific in resolving the problem. They responded to my email almost immediately with a solution. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase Splasm apps.

The program is a simple checkbook register that lets you track several different accounts. You can make manual entries or you can easily import your transactions from your bank. The drawer gives you a quick visual of where you stand with all your accounts. It is also possible to schedule upcoming transactions if you wish. I dont want a huge bloated program that wants to control my financial life. I just want a program that shows me where I stand. This application is perfect for me.

Quicken abandoned us because we got a new up date to the computer programming and I lost all my records up to that point. I purchased Checkbook in hopes that this will be a little safer.

Pros: 1 - the convenient and fast data entry 2 - worthy of informativeness of the report (even more than) 3 - the possibility of multiple individual accounts (for example vozvolyaet calculate preliminary costs for the trip. 4 - have the automatic refill

It has everything that I need to keep my checkbook balanced! I love the schedule function for monthly expenses.

I was using a self built Excel sheet for my check register, until my computer decided to stop cooperating with me. When I bought my new Mac I knew I wanted an easy to use app that would do the balancing and math for me and this app sure fit the bill! It’s easy to set up and use, the only “wish” I have would be if it synced with my bank online! I could have paid for an app that would do that, but the prices!!!! Gesh. This is a great app for someone who wants “easy” but high quality and basic. Who knows, I may still have things to find out about this app and might have to update this later! If you are still in doubt, go to the website of the product and you can get a free trial (up to 100 entries) before commiting and paying for it!!!! :)

The improvements make it seem as good for my purposes as Quicken was when I used it years ago.

This checkbook application is perfect for our everyday household use and has the utility for much more, should we need it. Especially nice for buget planning is the ability to take a look at monthly, quarterly and yearly expenses to find out where those sneaky little budget holes exist. You can make notations to explain why the cost of Fido was so high — eating daddy’s socks can make for a costly vet trip; the sorts of things you need to have an emergency savings account for (and maybe facilitate socks going into the hamper). Noting what expenses are tax-deductible is great and being able to check which items have cleared makes reconciliation very easy. We are very happy with our purchase.

Very easy to use and back up your check book and all accounts. I have had two problems since I downloaded Checkbook, both problems were resolved quickly and to my satisfaction, GOOD SUPPORT…..!!!!! I looked at other check book software but this is Well worth the purchase.

Every time Quicken makes changes, they f*** it up. When I found Checkbook, the birds sang! It is so easy, and just makes sense. Great customer service, and SUPPORT!

With a simple interface and streamlined features, this program is easy for me to use as a 77 year old senior.

As advertised, this app is easy to use and very helpful. I wish I would have purchased it years ago.

I like the easiness this is for me to keep track with my spending and saving, it’s not too confusing for someone to work with once they get used to it. It’s simple, easy and great to use for me to look at my money!

I use this app to balance my checking accoumt. Simple and easy to use. Love that I can use between my phone or laptop. Much cheaper than previous programs that I have used that had too many features that I didnt need. Great App!

This checkbook app is excellent. It is just what I need — not too fancy, not too plain. Easy to use and navigate.

CheckBook is not for billionaires who need gigantic spreadsheets and dozens of accountants to figure out their financial software. It isn’t designed to interface with every bank in the world and automatically pay the fuel fees for your private jet. Nor will it manage your investments in every major brokerage house worldwide. If you are looking for a bloated, complicated, mind-torturing app keep looking. Checkbooks is a clean, easy-to-use app for normal people who want to track a few checking and or savings accounts and reconcile without pulling their hair out. CheckBook does everything that normal people running a home or small business need, and it does it for a reasonable price without any ads or constant spam to upgrade. I UPGRADED to CheckBook from iBank and have been 100% satisfied with the decision.

I haven’t used it long enough to use all of its features. But so far it does everything that I wanted.
