Nice alternative to Quicken
With my recent upgrade to Mac OS Sierra, I found out when I tried to launch Quicken Essentials that it was not compatible with the Mac upgrade. I wasn’t going to pony up 75 bucks again to Intuit, just so my software would be compatible. Time to find a new alternative.
Although not as robust and at times not as intitutive as I might hope…. its a nice app. I wish it had some kind of auto-save feature though, when I was making my all initial entries it crashed & I lost almost 2 hours worht of work setting up scheduled entries. That was disappointing & frustrating. I would recommend that you save & back up your work every 5-10 minutes or so when doing your initial set up. Also while it has the ability to import Quicken files, ot doesn’t import everything.
Hopefully with further development, it will become richer in features. I think for now, it will do what I neeed it to do.
